On November 6, the 2018 training and winter training mobilization conference of the provincial sports bureau was held. The meeting comprehensively reviewed the training work in 2018, deeply analyzed the situation faced by competitive sports, clarified the goals and tasks of the new cycle, and put forward requirements for doing a good job in preparing for the new cycle. The meeting pointed out that in 2018, under the correct leadership of the provincial Party committee and provincial government and the support and guidance of the State General Administration of Sports, athletes in our province won 5 world championships, 11 Asian Championships, 26 national champions broke a world record. Jakarta Asian Games successfully completed its intended goal and successfully held the 13th Henan sports games, writing a new chapter in Henan Sports Development. The meeting called on everyone to focus on the goals and tasks of the new cycle, further unify their understanding and firm their faith, lock in the goals, cheer up their spirits, consolidate the foundation and dig deep into their potential, with a sense of urgency and mission of be charged with important tasks, take the first responsibility bravely and do a good job in preparing for the war, and strive to achieve new achievements in the 2021 Xi’an National Games and the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
The meeting stressed that it is necessary to recognize the new situation, keep in mind the functional mission, effectively improve the political position, transform the care and support of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government into the source and motivation to enhance the comprehensive strength of competitive sports, win gold medals, strive for the first place and win honor for the province. We should aim at new targets, strengthen our ideals and beliefs, actively deal with difficult challenges, devote ourselves to training and preparation work with high morale and solid style, and ensure the completion of the target tasks. At the meeting, each training unit submitted the Gypsy style competition discipline and anti-doping responsibility letter.
