Xifeng is located in Nyalam county, Shigatse city, Tibet autonomous region. On the map of Tibet autonomous region published by Planet Map Publishing House in 2016, its altitude was marked as 8027 meters. It is also the only one of the 14 peaks over 8000 meters above sea level in the world completely located in China.

Luo Jing said in a statement on October 3 that after the retreat, she used the video of the end of the climb to go to the International Mountaineering summit certification website “8000ers”, the Nepalese Sherpa guide who climbed at the same time verified, and consulted several climbers who had reached the main peak in France and Germany through friends, finally, it is believed that the Chinese climbers arrived at a certain ridge on the south side of the central peak with an altitude of 8012 meters.
Luo Jing told reporters that according to the route of those who successfully climbed the top of the main peak in the past, the distance from the central peak to the main peak was several hundred meters, but the Chinese team only walked dozens of meters this time. In addition, Nepalese Sherpa wizard Rob climbed after the Chinese team this time. He got to the end of the road rope, that is, after the highest point considered by the Chinese team, took a photo, and thought that the mountain tip far behind the photo was the main peak, and at the same time marked the distance between the place and the main peak.
In the video provided by Luo Jing to the 8000ers website to prove the top, Luo Jing was located under a towering snow slope and took a 360-degree ring shot around. Luo Jing told reporters that the snow slope in the video was the place where Rob took photos, but neither she nor the guide of the Chinese mountaineering team climbed the snow slope. In the response statement, Yarra shampoo said that the company’s road repair team arrived at the central peak on the evening of 28th and continued to lay Road ropes towards the main peak. After using the road rope of about 50 meters, the road repair team judged that it had reached the highest point of the mountain.
The general manager of the company, trensangzhu, told the reporter that when he arrived here on the 29th, all the team members and guides looked around with their naked eyes and found no mountain peaks higher than their own location; the altitude watch of a guide shows that the altitude is 8029 meters. According to these two points, it can be judged that the team has reached the highest point of Xifeng. He also revealed that the leader of the Russian team who arrived there later, Larin Sergey, expressed support for this view.
“We finally arrived at the position between the main peak and the central peak, which can be confirmed to be the highest point of Xifeng.” Ziren Sangzhu said. At the same time, he speculated that the earthquake three years ago had an impact on the mountain structure of Xifeng, and the main peak more valued by the international mountaineering industry might no longer be the highest point of Xifeng.
