Wang Shuang, Chen Yiming, advanced to the final
Beijing, January 10 (reporter Zheng Wei) the first semi-final of the Chinese women’s go celebrity battle in the ancient city Cup of China was held on the 8th in the People’s Network. Wang Shuang defeated Wang Yubo, and Chen Yiming defeated Zhou Hongyu, the “after 00” generals, Wang Shuang and Chen Yiming to advance to the final. The two will switch to the ancient city of Sichuan Yizhong in March to start a three-fold chess match.
The first Chinese women’s go Celebrity Game was held in November 2018, with 32 top female players participating in the competition. Among them, Wang Shuang successively eliminated famous generals such as Zhiying, Tang Yi and Gao Xing, which became the highlight of this competition. In the semi-final of the day, Wang Shuang seized Wang Yubo’s slow hand and won the 194-hand game Zhibai, leading the promotion.
Another semi-final was a battle for nearly five hours. Chen Yiming, who was the leader of the Black Army, focused on finding the ground, properly handled the weak parts in the final stage, and finally advanced to the final.
The competition was co-sponsored by People’s Daily, China Go Association and China Chess Academy, and was undertaken by People’s Daily Online, people’s daily sports department, central municipal people’s government and people’s sports.
