In order to host the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, the world-class Winter Olympic venues will be built, but only through the operation of the venues can the venues give full play to their functions and truly serve the Winter Olympic Games and the Winter Paralympic Games. To do a good job in the operation of the venue, we need to start from the aspects of people and property, space resources, operation plans of various departments, etc., and carry out a series of integration and standardization work at the venue level, which is the “venue” work.
On the basis of widely soliciting opinions from various departments, BOCOG of Beijing Winter Olympic Games has formulated the work plan for compiling the operation plan of demonstration venues. Han Zirong, the secretary-general of Beijing Organizing Committee for winter and Olympic Games, said that selecting demonstration venues should not only consider the operation and conversion of the Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympic Games, but also recognize the significant differences between ice projects and snow projects, more attention should be paid to the division setting and test schedule arrangement of Beijing Winter Olympics.
Zhang Jiandong said that in order to do a good job in venue chemical industry with high quality, it is necessary to raise awareness, and the preparation work system, members’ psychology and workspace also need to be transformed; To grasp the key and make emergency plans; we should aim at the wonderful, extraordinary and outstanding goals and start the preparation work for the test competition in an all-round way; We should coordinate as a whole and grasp the relationship between rigidity and flexibility, the relationship between the Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympic Games, the relationship between details and general and the relationship between division of labor and cooperation; To implement the responsibility, the venue operation leadership coordination group, the demonstration venue work team, the relevant departments of the Winter Olympic organizing committee, the territorial government and the main business units should perform their duties well.
Considering the above factors comprehensively, BOCOG decided to select the National Swimming Center (the existing venues will hold the Games of Winter Olympics Cold water jug and Winter Paralympic wheelchair cold water jug), the National Alpine skiing center (new venues, the winter Olympics alpine skiing and the Winter Paralympic Games alpine skiing events will be held, which is the venue for the first Test competition in February 2020), Genting Ski Park (the existing venues will hold the Winter Olympics freestyle skiing and snowboard skiing, the competition of Winter Paralympic snowboard will hold the International Snow Federation world championship in February 2021, which is also the largest test competition) as a demonstration venue.
