Amareli, head coach of China Beach Football team: China has the ability to become a world class in any field

The head coach of the Chinese beach football team, Spanish Ramiro amareli, has high hopes for the fledgling Chinese beach football.

Xinhua News Agency, Shijiazhuang, August 21 (reporter Xu Yongzheng, Xu Buyun) “China has the ability to become a world class in any field.” The head coach of the Chinese beach football team, Spanish Ramiro amareli, has high hopes for the fledgling Chinese beach football.

When it comes to beach football, most Chinese people may not be familiar with it. In fact, on April 17, 2006, China’s first beach football national team was established in Xiamen, 12 years ago. In the world, this sport originated from Rio de Janeiro beach in Brazil has been popular in Latin America, Europe and other places for more than 40 years.

Throughout the history of Sha foot, amareli is a well-deserved legend. He used to be the captain of the Spanish sand football team and the most valuable player in the two sand football World Cup in 2003 and 2008. He was known as “sand football King” and was the first person in the history of this sport among many people.

In 2011, he began to serve as head coach and captain of the traditional elite Barcelona beach football team, and led the team to win the World Championship in 2015. Last year, he decided to leave Spain and start a new journey: teaching the Chinese beach football national team.

“One of the reasons why I came to China is that I believe that as long as this country has the desire to do a good job, it can be realized.” Amareli said that the feelings of the Chinese people towards the motherland and China’s rich economic, human and material resources make China a “country with unlimited possibilities in any field”.

Amareli met Xinhua news agency reporters in Tangshan city, Hebei province. Here, the third China-Latin America Beach Football Championship has just come to an end. In this competition, the performance of the Chinese team was not ideal, and they lost to Uruguay, Chile and Mexico in a row. He did not complain about this. He thought the strength of these three teams was not in the same level as that of the Chinese team.

“In China, a twenty-year-old boy has played beach football as much as an eight-year-old child in South America or Europe in his life. This gap in training time, investment level and strength will be reflected on the court.” He said, “before I called them into the national team, some of my players had hardly touched the game of beach football.”

From the moment he signed the contract with the Football Association, the head coach of the national team knew that his mission was not only to be the head coach of the technical and tactical category or the selector of the national team. More importantly, he wants to build a solid foundation in China’s sand foot “dead soil. “It takes time and patience.” He stressed.

“The Chinese Football Association is ambitious in the sand foot field, good at listening, and willing to make changes.” He believes that if you want to make changes, you must first set up a National League, cultivate clubs with winning culture, attract powerful players to join, and the clubs and players promote each other to form a virtuous circle.

At present, due to the lack of this kind of league, amareli has to go to the campus football matches all over the country to select players who have the potential to enter the national team. He said he was very happy to do this job, “At present, I think everything is developing in a good direction, and I am very satisfied with my work.” At the same time, the positive attitude shown by the Chinese Football Association also made him very happy: futsal, who belong to the same organization, has developed league matches and built training bases. “Futsal is a template for our development, and we also need to make appropriate adjustments according to the characteristics of Sha foot.”

“I believe that next year, we will have a national sand Football League.” The Football Association and himself have visited more than ten cities together, and nearly half of them expressed interest in establishing regional teams and joining the National League. “Each regional team consists of 15 to 20 players. At that time, the national team will have a reserve of more than 100 players.” He said excitedly.

Although the journey of China’s sand foot is still very long, the coach of the national team still maintains sufficient confidence. Amareli, who is leading the team to prepare for the World Cup in next March, said, “at this stage, we are starting the sand foot sport in China. I know very well that this process will be very long and I won’t be the ultimate beneficiary, but I like it very much because it is an attractive blueprint for me.”
