Xinhua News Agency, Qingdao, September 6 (Reporter Zhang Xudong) the 2018 national surfing series event was launched in Qingdao on the 6th, aiming at training and selecting outstanding talents for the surfing event of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
Li Ruilin, secretary of the Party Committee of the Water Sports Management Center of the State General Administration of Sports, said that in order to actively prepare for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, the Water Sports Management Center of the State General Administration of Sports set up a surfing project working group in April this year, be responsible for the preparation and popularization of the project. This series of surfing events includes the national youth surfing training camp, surfing coach training course and the National U series surfing competition, selecting comprehensive and excellent athletes for the Tokyo Olympic Games, and training for all regions, select surfing coaches and athletes.
