Lin Dan, the French Badminton Open, was “a round of tour” again”

Xinhua News Agency, Paris, October 24 (reporter Su Bin) Chinese badminton star Lin Dan was eliminated by Japanese player Sakai in the first round of the French Open men’s singles at 1:2 on the 24th, after the game, he said in an interview with Xinhua News Agency that his mentality in the game was not ideal, resulting in some meaningless mistakes, and he had been looking for a more ideal state.

Lin Dan entered the state quickly in the first game. He was in the upper hand through the front and back court mobilization and won with a score of 21:9. However, starting from the second game, Sakai was in a state of recovery. Lin Dan had been lagging behind in the score. He lost two games with two 14:21 consecutive games and failed to win the top 16.

“The mentality is not so ideal. Many balls make active mistakes. The second and third games make some active mistakes at the beginning, making the opponent score too fast, thus establishing a greater advantage.” Lin Dan was unspeakable and satisfied with his personal performance. “The first game was in a good state and went smoothly. When some balls in the second and third games wanted to make themselves better, there were some meaningless mistakes.”

Lin Dan believes that losing the game mainly lies in mentality and has little to do with physical fitness.

After the Jakarta Asian Games, Lin Dan participated in the Japan, China, South Korea, Denmark and France open in the past two months, the best result was that after the Japanese open entered the top eight, it failed to compete with the world’s first taeda xiandou. Both China and France suffered a “round Tour”.

“(After the Asian Games) has been looking for a relatively ideal state. The game is a little defeated, and I try my best to summarize it with the coaching staff.” Lin Dan said, “it is true that there are many competitions arranged by the World Badminton Federation in a year. We all want to participate in more competitions passively for points. Sometimes the quality of the games is not so ideal.”

The World Badminton Federation announced a new competition system from 2018 to 2021 last year, which put forward higher requirements on the number of athletes participating in the competition. Lin Dan, who chose to participate in some competitions in the past, needed to participate more in order to gain points, which posed a greater test for him at the age of 35.

“Athletes can only complain a little at most, but because the rules of the game have been formulated, we can only participate as much as possible. If you don’t play, the score is not enough, and the chances of participating in the world championship or the Olympic Games will decrease. This is a fact that there is no way to change. We can only mobilize as much as possible and participate in some competitions.” Lin Dan said.

As for the next plan, Lin Dan said that he would finish several races that had been registered this year.
