FIFA report: total spending on the summer transfer window of the five major European leagues hit a record high

Xinhua News Agency, Paris, September 12 (reporter Su Bin) according to a research report released by FIFA on the 12th, the total expenditure of the five major European leagues in this summer’s transfer window reached a record $4.21 billion (about 6.86 yuan per dollar).

Since October 2010, all professional players in the club of each member association of FIFA must be registered through the FIFA transfer system. Combined with the transfer activities between June 1, 2018 and September 1, FIFA said that compared with the 3.95 billion US dollars in the same period last year, the Premier League, the Liga, the Bundesliga, the total spending on the transfer window of the top five leagues in Serie A and Spain rose by about 6.6 percent this summer.

The Premier League took the top place again unexpectedly, with the total expenditure of its 20 clubs reaching 1.44 billion US dollars. The biggest increase was Serie A, with an increase of nearly 75%, mainly from Cristiano Ronaldo (Ronaldo) from Real Madrid to Juventus, with a cost of 0.1 billion euros (1 euro is about 7.97 yuan) transfer. The total expenditure of the La Liga club where Real Madrid is located increased by 42.2 percent year-on-year.

Worldwide, 182 of the FIFA member associations have opened the summer transfer window this year, with a total expenditure of 5.44 billion US dollars.
